Seward Highway Tour Continued.

Destination: Kenai Peninsula, Alaska

***While in Turnagain Pass area watch for moose crossing the road.
During the summer the moose calves are usually close to Mama, so if
you see a moose cross be sure they are all across before you proceed.
Moose are large and not very road smart and they make a horrible mess
of vehicles.

At 77.9 miles is Devils Pass trail. After Devils Pass trail you pass Jerome
Lake on the right.

You must now decide whether to go to Soldotna, Kenai, Homer, or
continue on to Seward.

If you choose to go to Soldotna, Kenai and Homer, there are two ways to
get to these areas. You can take the Y at mile 79.8 or continue down the
hill to the intersection of the Seward Highway and Sterling Highway. At
the junction of the Seward & Sterling Highways is Tern Lake. Tern Lake
has a small fish and wildlife viewing area at the end of the lake after
you turn onto the Sterling Highway. If you turn onto the Sterling Highway
here, be sure to reset your trip meter to 0
